Mostly just because Black lagoon is one of my favorite TV shows. I plan on having this and eventually if I ever have the money, get a gunsmith to make karkonen from Hellsing for me. Now, that is going to be the hard/impossible one to get as it would require me to design the thing from the ground up. Good thing I'm going into weapons engineering after college though.and yes that's a 30mm sniper rifle.I won't even attempt alucards guns, though. Converting a 92fs to close enough is simple, and designing the rifle will take a lot less time than two different extended slide.50 cal handguns.JPaulF 04:25 AM. I remember the XM109!

Beretta M92 Review

I went down to Murfessboro, TN from Fort Campbell, Ky in 1998 to work on this project. The upper can be swapped with a.50 BMG upper (like a AR15 conversion).

Cutlass

The 25mm round is actually a rifled grenade like the 40mm round for the Mk19. Not a high velocity round like the 25mm Bushmaster on the M2/M3 Bradleys. The cartridge uses a warhead (ie HE, yellow rounds or the blue Training Practice). The challenge was getting recoil under controll.

The impluse with the 25mm (1') was the same as with a M82 in.50 BMG. The other project that I got to work on was the SPR which became the Mk12 5.56mm Special Purpose Rifle.Have met and worked with Ronnie Barrett on a few occasions. I always called this rifle a 'Man Portable Light Cannon' which a cannon is classified over 17mm or 3/4'(.750'). The problem with a 12.7x99mm or.50 BMG cartridge is that is a kynetic energy round. Further the target, the less it has energy to defeat the target (same with a 30-06). With a warhead, range is inmaterial as the explosive charge isn't reliant on velocity.

Damage is the same wheter 50m or 2000m.CDbrushedchrome 07:02 AM. That XM109 is awesome! Ive never seen one before and to have pics and a description of its function is a bonus.

As for the Anime weapons, these gentlemen are spot on. Most are from a strict imagionation standpoint or loosly based on factual weapons. There may be some serious functioning problems adding such a long slide and barrel to the Beretta. After investing so much money into having a custom slide and barrel made only to find its junk is a risk.

Judging from the fact that Beretta themself hasnt made one is a giveaway. A 1911 with a long slide has been proven to work therefore they are availible. Also, a 30mm single shot rilfe doesnt sound like much fun to me!

Horrible recoil and the inability to purchase ammo for it would turn me towards something more in the.50bmg arena. You could probably get someting in an AR platform with a collapsable stock to look similar.Combat Diver 07:03 AM. Mostly just because Black lagoon is one of my favorite TV shows.

Remember anything over.50 caliber requires ATF approval, destructive weapons license and $200 tax per round.

Do some research on recoil and how to counter it. The more a weapon weighs the more it will absorb the recoil, higher velocity of the cartridge the more recoil. Your task will be to find the balance of portability and the limit a human can tolerate. Reseach big bore elephant guns or anti tank rifle of early WWII. The British Boys.55 is at the upper limit.CDgendoikari87 05:16 PM. It'll largely be for show (the 30mm) I'm not a fool enough to ever actually shoot anything over.50. If I were to get a big bore rifle for shooting it'd be a.408 chey tac.

And that would be scary. Also the harkonnen by its straight design in an inoprable weapon, it's a breech loading cannon with.

What I'm going to call poor sealing at the breech. It'd blow on the first shot. Like someone above said, anime weapons generally won't work unless it's a simple mod of existing weapons. But they do look cool in a glass case. Which is where they're going to be.

My real functional weapons will be locked up in a safe. (and yes I do plan on never having a large arsenal if I ever get the money. I just love guns too much.)as for the usefullness of the 9mm. Well accuracy and power go up as the barrel length, blah blah. It's just to look pretty, and be fun high recoil gun at the range.

My daily concealed carry is a glock.Edit: whos the guy shooting the big gun in the pic, what kind of gun was it, and how bad were the tailbone injuries?gendoikari87 05:29 PM. I remember the XM109!

And I thought the rtw-20 and the nt-20 were bad.Cheezle56 11:32 PM. Several years ago, Beretta did make a longslide version of their 92fs.

Well it wasnt exactly a long slide but it had a 7.3' barrel and a increased sight radius. I would think having a much longer barrel and heavier slide than the standard 92 would be useful to take advantage of +P and +P+ loads. The heavy slide brigadier was meant to improve rapid fire.

Also in my personal preference, I like my pistols somewhat muzzle heavy. There is a reason why lots of 'target' models hava a 'compensator' weight attached to the muzzle like the USP match and the P22 target. I would think that if the extended slide was made to the same thickness as the standard slide, it would be around the same weight as the brigadier slide.' Competition Conversion Kit ModelsThe standard model can be converted with a special conversion kit into a competition target pistol. The kit includes a 7.3 in (190 mm) barrel with counterweight and elevated front sight, a fully-adjustable target rear sight and ergonomic walnut grips.Target ModelsDesigned for competition shooting, these models meet all U.I.T.S. Standards for large caliber pistols (P.G.C.). They differ from basic 92 FS in the following aspects: 150 mm (5.9 in) barrel, with aluminum counterweight sleeve, fully-adjustable target rear sight, ergonomic walnut grips with 'orange peel' anti-slip finish'-WikipediaKimuraKage 06:35 AM.
