With Destiny 2’s newly launched Season of Opulence update, Bungie has added in three brand new pinnacle weapons for players to earn. As with previous pinnacle weapons, the new Season of Opulence trio requires some serious effort to unlock, but each weapon’s unique perks and playstyle makes said effort more than worth it.In this guide, we’ll list each of Destiny 2’s three new Season of Opulence pinnacle weapons, the unique components that define each weapon, and, most importantly, how you can go about adding each weapon to your personal arsenal. Vanguard Pinnacle Weapon – Wendigo GL3 Grenade Launcher. The Wendigo GL3 is an Arc-infused grenade launcher with an adaptive frame.

The weapon’s unique ‘Explosive Light’ perk pairs well with any ability and/or sub-class that can consistently generate Orbs of Light. For each Orb of Light the player picks up, the next Wendigo GL3 grenade they fire has both an increased blast radius and increased damage. The Explosive Light perk can enhance up to six separate grenade rounds at once so if you or your teammates can generate large numbers of orbs, all the better. Whether enhanced or not, the Wendigo GL3’s grenades can also blind enemies with their blasts, allowing them to pin down tough or highly mobile enemies. To unlock the Wendigo GL3, you need to complete a new quest called ‘A Gift of the Worthy’ from Zavala in the Tower. Unsurprisingly, the new quest involves using grenade launchers and killing AI enemies in Vanguard playlist strikes. Specifically, you have to complete three separate goals:. Land 1,500 final blows with any grenade launcher.

Score 500 multikills with any grenade launcher. Fill up a percentage gauge by killing enemies in strikes (dying causes you to lose a small amount of progress, whereas grenade launcher final blows grant a small bonus to progress earned). This season’s Crucible pinnacle weapon, a kinetic sniper rifle called Revoker which sports an aggressive frame, is perfect for Destiny 2 players who like the idea of sniping but aren’t totally confident in their aim. Thanks to its unique ‘Reversal of Fortune’ perk, Revoker actually returns any missed shot to its magazine after a short period of time.Naturally, the Reversal of Fortune perk has some limits.

The perk takes a few moments to kick in after the player misses a shot, and when it does kick in it only restores one bullet at a time. This means that even if the player fires and misses multiple times before the perk triggers, they’ll still only get one bullet back for each perk activation.Past Crucible pinnacle weapons required that a player reached the Fabled rank in Destiny 2’s Competitive Crucible playlist. This was often a frustrating process, especially for solo players, since your Competitive ranking can fluctuate based on wins and losses. Thankfully, Fabled is not required to unlock the Revoker.

Similar to the Wendigo GL3, your first step is to grab a new ‘In Your Sights’ quest from Lord Shaxx in the Tower. In Your Sights comes with three distinct goals of its own, all of which must be completed in the Crucible and all of which are account-wide:. Land 300 final blows with any sniper rifle. Land 50 precision final blows (headshot kills) with any sniper rifle. Earn 3,500 Glory points in the Competitive playlistYou can never lose progress for the 3,500 Glory points goal, even if your overall Glory rank goes down from a loss. This means that obtaining the points needed is simply a matter of playing Competitive matches and doing as well as you can. Winning Competitive games will obviously expedite the process, but losing games will never remove progress from the quest step.

Gambit Pinnacle Weapon – Hush Combat Bow. Fans of Destiny 2’s PvE/PvP hybrid mode Gambit can earn the Hush pinnacle weapon, a Solar-infused combat bow with a precision frame, during the Season of Opulence. Interestingly enough, Hush’s unique ‘Archer’s Gambit’ perk means that it’s best utilized by firing from the hip (i.e.

Not aiming down the sights). Whenever a player lands a precision hipfire shot with Hush, they gain a significant draw speed buff for a short duration.Archer’s Gambit can help skilled players live out their fantasy of quickly mowing down groups of weaker AI enemies Legolas-style. Also, if they cross paths with an enemy player (like a Gambit invader), they can potentially “outgun” the opposition since said opposition won’t be expecting such a fast draw and release. Of course, this is all assuming the player has the patience and reflexes needed to consistently score precision hipfire shots. As you may have guessed if you read through the two previous pinnacle weapon entries, unlocking Hush involves completing a new account-wide quest that’s available from The Drifter in the Tower. The new quest is appropriately called ‘Hush, Little Baby,’ and it tasks players with completing three distinct goals in either Gambit or Gambit Prime matches:.
